UNA-ET AASTU Chapter

Empowering students to engage with global issues and develop leadership skills through the United Nations framework

About Us

Connecting AASTU with the United Nations

The United Nations Association of Ethiopia at AASTU serves as a bridge between the Ethiopian people and the UN to raise awareness about global issues like the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

UNA-ET AASTU Mission

First ISO certified university in Ethiopia

Our Purpose

By establishing a UNA-ET chapter at AASTU, we aim to complement our strong academic focus with opportunities for students to develop a deeper understanding of global issues and leadership skills.

AASTU, as the first ISO certified university in Ethiopia with nine of our thirteen departments accredited, is uniquely positioned to lead in fostering global citizenship among students. Our chapter will serve as a platform for students to engage with the UN's mission and contribute to sustainable development goals.

Global Awareness

Promoting understanding of international relations and the importance of global cooperation through workshops, seminars, and Model UN simulations that bring world issues to campus.

Student Engagement

Creating meaningful extracurricular activities for students to engage with global issues through hackathons, community projects, and international forums that develop leadership skills.
